Biography
Chris Layhe is a singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is co-founder and bass player with The Icicle Works. In 1984 the Liverpool act charted in the UK Top 20 with the song Love Is A Wonderful Colour.
The Icicle Works also achieved success on the US Billboard Chart with the Top 40 entry, Bird’s Fly / A Whisper To A Scream. The latter being featured in the sci-fi horror series Stranger Things.
Performing solo and with guest musicians, Chris has to date released two EPs, It's My Way and Caught the Spirit.

Chris is now offering one-to-one instrumental tuition. This is available for guitar and bass, embracing both acoustic and electric instruments. Don’t worry if you’ve never played before, Chris has a gift for getting people started on their instrument, and has extensive experience in this area.
Chris has tutored on behalf of the Manchester Adult Education Service (MAES), and worked with young musicians and bands in youth zones and centres across the North West.
